3 Things You Should Know Before Buying
Audio book, available via Audible on Amazon.
1. About the Author
If you have not heard of Grant Cardone and you are in sales or marketing currently, well then, shame on you. He is a best selling author, self-made real estate and sales training millionaire, and on top of many other awe-inspiring accomplishments, he is a charismatic and motivated dude who knows how to deliver his message.
When it comes to sales training, Grant is a fire-breather. Knowledgeable and capable are not adequate descriptors, nor would he allow for any other title except for the best. While he exudes confidence, his charm is remarkably powerful due to its ability to present as down-to-earth and relatable.
2. My Takeaways from the Book
I have read many, many books on sales, I enjoy digging through the content seeking those few special nuggets that imprint my mind for future recollection and use. What can I say? I loved sales and marketing so much that I founded my own digital marketing agency so I could live and breathe it daily.
The most essential point in the book is right there, emblazoned on the book jacket. 10X. Mr. Cardone's mission is to teach you the value in goal setting on an almost obscene level. If you fancy yourself closing 10 sales this month, then The 10X Rule states that you shoot for 100 sales and go down swinging with any number within. When (and if) you apply his other notable sales tips to do so, you may well find yourself with 40, 60, 80, or yes, maybe even 100 or more sales for the month instead of the paltry 10 you originally under-projected for yourself.
It sounds simple right? And yes, I agree it is. But the power of this book is in the way Grant convinces you. He is performing 10X doctrines while teaching you 10X doctrines. You not only get the blueprint, but you hear it in action (with the audio book version - highly recommended).
3. Review & Recommendation
Grant Cardone's teaching methodology is wildly hypnotic and highly motivating. In fact, I would rate this book, in particular, as one of the most captivating books on sales that I have ever read. The audio book is chocked full of additional goodies and packaged into a nuclear powered sales seminar that looks like a book.
Notable to me, is the fun and motivating nature of the sales tenets he lives by and teaches. Although I have heard and read many of them in other areas, by other authors, Grant's system feels unique. It seems modern yet overtly based on that which has been proven effective over hundreds of years.
Here's the bottom line. If you are in sales, buy this book. If you are a business owner, buy this book. If you feel like there's a little more to life than toiling away at the factory for a meager wage and lousy benefits, buy this book.
